2008 Devoti Classic with Wilke Mast. This boat originally was in Europe, was VERY fast, was later sold to Henry who modified the mast pocket to get it further forward, after that sold to Rob Coutts who did quite well with it. It was traded to Joe and chartered for racing in Biscayne bay. The guy who chartered it capsized it and the mast tore the deck up. I bought it from Joe, built a new deck and installed it and painted the foredeck. The forward box of the boat is stiffer than a stock Devoti now because of this. Boat was completely re-rigged for nationals last year. Endless control lines. I am a better rigger than sailor and my decrepit old body isn’t up to the racing these days. As Dee would say, I got lead poisoning. Boat is in outstanding shape, faired very well, mast in great condition. The sail is beat up and would make an okay training sail but you’ll want a new one. Boat weighed 200g over minimum after I got finished redoing the deck. There’s still lead that can be removed to hit that perfect 0 target number if you like. Being in Colorado the boat is dry as a bone. Carbon tiller/rudder with bag, top and bottom covers, dolly, gear pocket, included.

Mast numbers:
78 120 109 388 (side)
89 120 89 515 (fore/aft)

This is a good mast for a lighter sailor or an older sailor who can’t hike all the way up the windward leg.

Pics of the rebuild of the foredeck can be found here: http://www.finnusa.org/2022/01/05/rebuilding-the-foredeck-on-a-devoti/
